Monkeys!

Slowing Down to Take in the Ice Skating

Testing Out the New Doggie Backpack at the Galleria

Say hello to my little friend.

He's a good buddy with a long tail that helps mom keep up with me since I am no longer a fan of the stroller.

He stayed right by my side through lunch.

There was lots of entertainment at the Rainforest Cafe.

I'm not so sure about the tiger over there.

Wait, and what's that in the corner.

Holy cow! I mean holy elephant I guess!

With all of the excitement I can't even begin to imagine what we'll be dining on.

Marching Around

Snacking in Between

Hanging with New Friends

Swimming at Stude Park

Loving the chance to splash around and show off my toddler swimsuit style to the greater Houston area.

Splish, splash, splish, splash...

Loving the sprinklers too.

Just hanging back waiting for the shower to start again.

My new buddy came prepared for action and adventure too, he even has goggles.

Sans goggles, I better follow his lead and hang close to the pole.

No burn ban, ozone watch, or heat wave can stop this toddler.

Gotta' keep moving!

Can't forget to take time out to rinse off my 'peet' (translation: 'feet').

All this water fun sure works up an appetite!

Snack break!

After my feast of grapes I was excited to see another pint-sized pal just my age had arrived for some fun in the sun.

We decided the little boy had cooties.

Go girl power!

But wait, he is kind of cute...

Oh no, YUCK!!

MOM!! My new BFF is drinking city water! G-R-O-S-E!!!

With a few short minutes til' closing time, we all sit a spell and chat.

I am one tired pup!! Pretty much crashed out the whole ride home.

Turtle Time at the Montrose Library

Time to beat the heat and exercise my brain at the Houston Public Library.

Align Center

She says turtles have been around since the dinosaurs roamed the Earth. I thought they should be bigger though...

Hold on a second, she is reaching into another box...

That must be the other turtles big brother.

Mom, look at that!

Cool!

Now that's what I'm talking about.

But wait, there is more! OMG! (Oh My Goodness!)

She said we could come up and pet it after the Q & A. I think I could saddle him up and ride him too.

Last Bit of Birthday Fun

YEE-HA!!

Jahara's Second Birthday Party

Mom thinks it's a good idea to lounge around in our pj's and conserve energy for the day. But I am too excited!

Time to rip up the paper and do some bed jumping.

Right as the party kicked off we wasted no time getting in the pool.

It was H-O-T!!

I'm very impressed Ms. Patty hasn't jumped in the pool yet with those long sleeves.

Hany showed up and got a bite to eat before getting to work on the trampoline.

Herb brought Iris and was ready to jump in to the jumping action too.

There's the perfect spot.

I was going to help but opted instead to throw things out of the pool and have Miracle get them for me.

Who me?!? I didn't throw anything out of the pool.

Iris and I had a chance to chat and she gave me the 4-1-1 on purple hair and manic panic.

Mom!! I think I want purple hair for my birthday!

The birthday cake before digging in.

Here we go!!

The big moment!

Katie, mom and Nedra helped out with the candle extinguishing.

Now it's time to lick the candle.

Melissa helped mom with feeding the masses since I was pretty firmly planted on her lap.

YUM!

Katie is having deep thoughts about the cake.

And Anaya and Boo arrived just in time!

James never stopped working on the trampoline.

And Miracle and Kerry enjoyed cake in the pool. I guess being a double digit age has its privileges
.

My aim is much better than last year.

It seems that mom is taking the opportunity of me being on her lap to relax a second.

From where I was sitting I also got to admire Nedra's new Natalie Portman-esque haircut.

Patty and Samantha think the cake is delicious.

Next, cleaning off in the Slip-and-Slide before present opening.

Splish! Splash!

Hanging 10 with Hany.

Whee!!

Next step, the floatie to really get some traction.

1...2...3,

Alright!!
