Summertime Swimming

Let me see if I can spit this ball out into the bucket.

Oops, where did it go?

Did it make it in?

I love summer!!

Chillin' in the pool is the BEST!

Standing in the pool when mom is not looking is pretty fun too!

I almost forgot to show off the back of my stylin' new swimsuit for the camera because I am having so much fun.

I could just live in here.

We can stay a little longer before dinner, no way!

Mom, do you want to put down the camera to splash around a little with me?

Maybe I can convince mom too that this is a great bath substitute. The only thing that is missing is bubbles.

Jahara's Haircut Courtesy of Mom

Let me take in some reading.

The side view of the new 'do.

Mom is done sweeping the floor now SHE can read to me.

Mom's got major hair cutting skills.

Cradles 2 Crayons Birthday Festivities

Thanks for the cookie, but I am more interested in the 'boons' (translation: 'balloons').

Let's get this party started right.

Who is that cute little girl? I just love her fashion sense and hat.

Let's see if I can multi-task with the cookie and balloon.

Not as easy as it looks.

Here are some of my adorable friends.

Everyone brought their appetites, that's for sure.

Vanilla icing really compliments her outfit I think.

Alright, it's almost cake time.

I'll just keep playing with these balloons and jamming out until we're ready to sing.

A quick snapshot before we all dig in.

Now, that's what I call a piece of cake.

YUM!

It's all about the icing!!

This was a perfect opportunity to show off my spoon usage skills compared to last year.

I give this confection a thumbs up!

I even got a card with my buddy Dora!!

With cake and cards out of the way it is time to PAR-TAY!

Amidst all the festivities, I still had room for seconds on the cookies.

And play teacher one last time before starting my new class on Monday.

Fun With Bubbles

Do you like my beard?

Let's see if I can make an even bigger ZZ Top-esque one. Stand back!

No luck.

That's okay,

I can always at least play with my 'peet' (translation: 'feet')

Jahara's First Art Opening

hh
We're off to check out Courtney's first art show. I am so excited!

Almost there! I don't know much about Mo Mong's, but it sure sounds fancy!

Better put on my shades to look like a cool art connoisseur.

I can't read yet, but I don't think Courtney did this.

Not sure, this piece does not really speak to me, time to move on.

Oh yeah, Courtney's here, and she brought a little friend too, SWEET!

Now, this is art. Upon seeing this I was moved to point and shout 'happy!'

Another 'happy' piece Courtney had in the show.

Courtney and I admired some other artwork too.

I really like the bright oil paints medium. Maybe Courtney can help me convince mom to move beyond just letting me use crayons and water color.

Enough with being carried, it's time to check out the patio with my new little friend.

Look, my own little stage.

Jammin' with chopsticks.

Lovin' the rhythm of bamboo.

We decided to sit and take in the porch ambiance.

Courtney needs to keep painting, cuz' this is a blast.
